Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is located conveniently within walking distance of the harbor, shops, restaurants, and just about everything you'd need. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, being in the new wing opened in the summer of 2014. The staff is friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. However, the noise from the new wing construction was somewhat disturbing.
My stay at the hotel was absolutely amazing! The rooms were large, elegant, and very comfortable, with black-out curtains that were a lifesaver due to the midnight sun. The service was top-notch, incredibly friendly, and helpful. The location was perfect, right next to the old volcano and within walking distance of everything you could need. The dining experience was very good, with a variety of hot and cold choices to keep you going throughout the day.
Staying at this hotel was a delightful experience. The rooms are spacious and come with nice touches like complimentary chocolates and drinks, offering a stunning view over Eldfell and Helgafell, the two iconic volcanoes on the island. The service was exceptional, with delightful gestures like showing us a baby puffin and being exceedingly friendly and accommodating. The location couldn't be more perfect, right in the heart of Heimaey, within walking distance of everything you could need. While the dining options were a bit limited, the overall value for money was great, making it a wonderful choice for a stay.
